Prizegiving, Surrey Easter Congress 1986
Fred Manning (Wimbledon CC), one of the congress organisers and Surrey III captain, watches as Robert Gascoigne-Pees presents the Frank Winter Memorial Tournament first prize to Danny King (Streatham & Brixton CC).

The Gascoigne-Pees Surrey Easter Chess Congress 1986 was held at the Central Library, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, Surrey, over Easter weekend: 28, 29, 30 and 31 March 1986.

The Frank Winter Memorial Open attracted 109 competitors and was won outright by D. J. King of Streatham with 6½/7. The Open also carried the S.C.C.U. Individual Championship prize.
